Huawei will host an event on July 27 where we will see the debut of HarmonyOS 3. Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei, has decided to show off a feature of the new platform on his personal Weibo account: new widgets on the home screen. It is possible to stack widgets in the same space, and select the widget that we want to see easily. It is also possible to create folders on the desktop with rectangular shapes so that all the apps inside are visible. HarmonyOS is Huawei’s operating system, based on Android, which is an open source platform. However, it is not a simple layer of customization, but Huawei has worked to make HarmonyOS as independent as possible. The July 27 event will be in China and Yu will likely reveal the national update schedule.
