Galaxy S10+, S10 and S10e receive December patches: rollout also in Italy

Parallel to the rollout of One UI 5.0 and Android 13 on the (few) smartphones not yet updated, Samsung is distributing the android security patches latest. Like this the entire Galaxy S10 range gets the correctives of December 2022, a handful of days after the three Galaxy S20.

Even the top of the 2019 range are therefore among the first to receive them through the firmware version G97xFXXSGHVL1 whose rollouts was reported in several European countries: Bulgaria, Greece, Hungary, Luxembourg, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Switzerland, the Balkans, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands and Italy.

With the December 2022 patches, Samsung corrects up to 93 vulnerabilities identified in the Galaxy, as well as introducing the inevitable bug fixes and system stability improvements. The three have to settle for the latest patches because will not receive One UI 5.0 and Android 13, having reached the end of their update cycle. The only model in the series that can boast the latest firmware is the Galaxy S10 Lite, which was received at the end of November.

For the notification of the new firmware it could be days from the first reports. So if you want to try to speed up the times it is better to manually check from time to time if there are any news from Settings – Software update – Download and install.
