As usually happens at the beginning of the year, Samsung already has its featured mobile family for all of 2024. After our first tests, the Samsung Galaxy S24 they appear continuous, they evolve in power and revolutionize in AI, although not much more. Yes, there is one aspect that, after testing it, seems very outstanding to us: the screen of the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra.
It is not surprising that Samsung has put all its effort into making an outstanding Ultra, both in hardware and software. It changed the trend with a screen without curves, an aspect that seemed very notable to us. Precisely, the straight panel option may have had to do with a component that is proving distinctive: the Corning Gorilla Glass Armor glass. We expected it to be more resistant and it surprised us in another aspect: The reflections.
The reduction of reflections on the Galaxy S24 Ultra is notable

According to the specifications of Corning’s new toughened glass, it improves surface hardness and also impact resistance, something common in the evolutions of these components. In addition, there is an aspect that at first seemed more promise than reality: the Corning Gorilla Glass Armor promises to reduce reflections by 75% compared to previous glasses.
With that ambition as our flag, and after the collaboration between Corning and Samsung, we can corroborate that the reduction in reflections is real. Currently, we are in the middle of analyzing the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and the surface of the phone is one of the aspects that surprised us the most. Especially when we compare it with other smartphones head to head.
In the photos you can see the reduction in reflections offered by the Armor of the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra: the mobile appears facing a iPhone 15 Pro and even LITTLE F3. Samsung screen shows completely black compared to the satin gray of the competition. And that is with the panel off and the light falling directly on the screens, because the improvement is especially notable using the panel.
