The unlocked variant of Samsung Galaxy A01 started receiving the update for the android 12 in the United States. The operators version started to receive the update there in the month of December and, now, the content is being expanded.
According to information from the SamMobile website, the firmware version for the base model of the south korean brand is identified as A015U1UEU5CVL2 and also comes with the security package for the month of September 2022.
The new build adds Android 12, accompanied by the One UI 4.1 Core user interface, a simplified version of the software, given that the model is an entry-level model and has very basic hardware.
Therefore, Galaxy A01 users will not have all the features previously included in the Android 12 update for most other Galaxy phones. However, some UI appearance improvements are expected for the template.
Users of a Galaxy A01 in the US should receive an update notification or they can try to manually trigger the update by going to the Settings app, going to “Software Update” and tapping “Download and install”.

Galaxy A01 starts receiving Android 12 with September security patch
While the most modern devices are eager to receive Android 13, it’s finally time for the basic Galaxy A01 to have its software leap to Android 12. The cell phone launched in 2019 then receives the 2021 system in its most recent update, which also includes the September 2022 security patch.
The novelty is coming first to Galaxy A01 users in Uzbekistan with firmware version A015FXXU5CVK5. The update applies to One UI Core 4.1 interface and it should reach more countries and markets very soon.
If you want to check if it’s already there, just go to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install.
Samsung launched the Galaxy A01 at the end of 2019 – and arrived in Europe in 2020 at an intermediate price – with One UI Core 2.0 based on Android 10. The device received the One UI Core 3.0 update based on Android 11 in April of the year past, and from now on it should only receive security updates — less and less frequently.
