CD Projekt Red has released a new update for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Patch 4.02 brings several improvements to PC, PlayStation and Xbox.

The new update brings fixes to several bugs depending on which platform you play on. It improves the performance and stability of The Witcher 3, with CD Projekt Red bringing more details about update 4.02 on their official blog.
The main highlight of the update are the improvements in the performance mode of the new generation consoles, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, in addition to fixing bugs in Novigrad and Beauclair after loading a saved game.
Patch 4.02 for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is being rolled out and will soon be available on PC, PlayStation and Xbox! Among various fixes, it also improves the overall stability and performance of the game.

Also mentioned is a fix for character blurring during cinematics on PlayStation 5 and a memory usage issue when activating Ray Tracing on Xbox Series X. Other side missions also had fixes, allowing them to be completed without any issues.
On PC, the new update for The Witcher 3 improves CPU usage on the DirectX 12 version and restores the horizon’s ambient occlusion. In addition to the issues already mentioned, there are fixes in the “My Rewards” section, graphical bugs in Toussaint and particle optimization.
In the last generation, players will find two new swords and have discrete bug fixes.
