Xiaomi’s successful sub-brand, which debuted with the eternal Pocophone F1has had a year 2023 quite eventful. It has launched entry-level phones such as LITTLE C65without neglecting other price ranges with those expected POCO X5 Pro and LITTLE F5. Finally, the POCO F5 Pro It has helped it attack the high range with an affordable price.

With 2024 just around the corner, it plans future releases, as the successor to one of those mentioned. Its about POCO X6 Pro 5G that has been stripped naked in a leak, letting us know some of its characteristics. This will be POCO’s best-seller for next year’s mid-range.

Upcoming launch (in January) and specifications of the next POCO mid-range

When Xiaomi unveiled and launched the Redmi K70 family in China, many of us began to make bets on how these would end up arriving in the rest of the world. Everything pointed to the most economical version – no less attractive – being the future POCO F6, intended for the affordable high-end range of the sub-brand.

However, as we read in Xiaomiui, it will not be like that. Instead, it will be the aforementioned POCO X6 Pro 5G that will collect the specifications of the Redmi K70E, leaving us without doubts regarding its specifications. According to the specialized portal, this will be launched next January, already well into 2024.

Now, let’s see what it will hide inside. First of all, the ‘brain’ of this POCO changes manufacturer: Qualcomm will not put one of its processors, but Mediatek and its Dimensity 8300 Ultraa high-end chip that aims high.

The software that will run in the veins of the future POCO is also known. It will be HyperOS 1.0 based on Android 14, so it will have the latest version of Google’s operating system and will come with the new Xiaomi.

In relation to autonomy, it doesn’t look bad on paper, thanks to a 5,500 mAh battery which will charge quickly at 90 watts.

If these specifications end up being met, it will be a more than suitable successor to the POCO X5 Pro 5G: improvements in power, screen and even battery. When will it be available? We should not wait too long, since everything indicates that we will see it announced next January, with global availability.
