As announced, OPPO launched the new range of Reno9 smartphones in China today, which includes the “base” model, the Reno9 Pro and the Reno9 Pro+. The three smartphones share different hardware and aesthetic characteristics but obviously differ in terms of performance and photographic capabilities. OPPO has chosen to use a Mediatek Dimensity 8100-Max processor for the Pro model while it has relied on Qualcomm for the Reno9 and the Reno9 Pro + which integrate, respectively, a Snapdragon 778G and a Snapdragon 8+ Gen1.
OPPO RENO9
OPPO Reno9 is equipped with a 6.7-inch curved OLED Dual Edge display with FHD + resolution with 120Hz refresh rate, a sampling frequency of 240Hz and with a density of 394ppi. The processor, as mentioned, it’s a Snapdragon 778Gmade with a 6nm production process, supported by 8GB/12GB of RAM and 256/512GB of storage.
The rear camera has a 64MP main sensor flanked by a 2MP secondary sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The front camera has a Sony IMX709 sensor with a resolution of 32MP. Complete connectivity with support for 5G networks, dual band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2 LE and NFC. Finally, the battery is a 4500mAh one with support for 67W fast charging. The operating system is Android 13 with ColorOS 13 user interface.

The processor in this case is the most powerful 4nm Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 supported by 16GB of RAM and 256 / 5125GB of UFS 3.1 type storage.
The rear camera has a 50MP Sony IMX890 sensor flanked by an 8MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture and wide angle lens and by a third 2MP macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The front camera has a Sony IMX709 sensor with 32MP resolution. Complete connectivity with support for 5G networks, dual band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2 LE and NFC. Finally, the battery is a 4700mAh with support for fast charging at 80W which recharges to 45% in 10 minutes and 100% in 31 minutes. The operating system is Android 13 with ColorOS 13 user interface.

Availability on the Chinese market is expected to start on December 2nd. There is currently no information on availability in other international markets
