Last night Google released a small update of Android 13 QPR3 Beta 2 on all compatible Pixel devices i.e. Pixel 4a, Pixel 4a (5G), Pixel 5, Pixel 5a, Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 6a, Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, which brings the build to version 2.1. As it is easy to imagine, the changes are marginal: in fact the official changelog simply mentions “modem updates” without elaborating further. The update is extremely light – the OTA weighs in at just under 14MB on a Pixel 6 Pro. Curiously, the April security patches are still missing, as is the case on the stable channel. The known issues seen with the previous build (which in turn are inherited from Beta 1) remain:

  • If you try to open the camera by pressing the power button twice the app shows a black screen.
  • When you activate or deactivate the work profile, the device restarts.
  • The recent apps list occasionally stops responding if the screen orientation is changed when it is open.

The update, we said, has been in OTA distribution for a few hours for all devices registered in the Beta program; however, if you need the files for manual installation, here are the links to the OTA and Factory images:
