Apple is preparing to launch new monitors for professionals, according to the latest information from the famous analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. As revealed by the leaker this Tuesday (11), the American manufacturer is developing a more advanced version of the Studio Display, its “cheaper” model.

Kuo says big tech should release a new 27-inch monitor with Mini LED technology, predating the transition of the company’s products to OLED. Another feature of this device would be the adaptive refresh rate of up to 120 Hz — a feature that Apple calls “ProMotion” on several models of iPhone, iPad and MacBook.

According to the tipster, the product will be equipped with “all the features one would expect from a high-end monitor”. The new model, which appears to be a successor version of the Studio Display, would have a glass backplane, allowing the panel to be thinner and the edges to be reduced, in addition to extending its useful life.

Ross Young, one of the first to comment on the launch of new Apple monitors, had suggested that the new 27-inch model would be announced in 2023. However, he recently reported that the manufacturer is postponing its plans. Ming-Chi Kuo believes this device will be mass produced mid 2024 or 2025.

There is still no certainty about the products that will be launched by Apple for its computer portfolio in 2023, but it is possible that the company will present its new generation of ARM-based processors with the introduction of the M3, produced with 3-nanometer lithography by TSMC, to power new MacBook Air and Pro models.
