Apple Confirms iOS 16.3 Will Be Released Next Week; see what will change

Apple announced this Wednesday (18) on its official website that iOS 16.3, the next update to the iPhone operating system, will be available to everyone next week. The new version has been in the testing phase since last December, and should finally reach users along with iPadOS 16.3, macOS 13.2, watchOS 9.3 and tvOS 16.3.

The launch forecast was revealed in a publication in the press room announcing the launch of new bands for the Apple Watch. To match the accessories, there will be a new collection of watch faces available next week, which will require the user to have an iPhone running iOS 16.3.

With iOS 16.3, there will be a number of iPhone system-level improvements, but users will also be able to see small changes to the overall experience. As we reported last week, the update will change the way to trigger the Emergency SOS on the iPhone, making the tool more practical and convenient.

After the launch of the new generation of HomePod, Apple will also redesign the Handoff notification interface, a feature that allows you to “transfer” audio that is playing on the iPhone to the smart speaker. Finally, iOS 16.3 will support Security Keys to protect your Apple ID account.

iOS 16.3 should also address bugs reported by users after upgrading to iOS 16.2. Several people complained of keyboard failures, camera errors and worsening cell phone battery life, such problems that may be corrected with the next version.
