Good Lock: Samsung releases new functions for screenshot with One Hand Operation Plus

Samsung released this Wednesday (18) an update to One Hand Operation Plus, one of the most useful modules in the brand’s device customization tool suite, Good Lock. Version 6.1.21 brings new functions within a feature called “Smart Selection”, which encompasses four unprecedented ways to interact with the device.

Smart Selection lets you use gestures to capture the screen in different sizes and formats, pin or record a specific part of the display. There are four methods: “Rectangle”, “Oval”, “Animation” and “Pin to screen”. Understand the details of each function below.

With One Hand Operation Plus enabled, simply assign one of the gestures available on the handles to the Smart Selection. “Rectangle” is the most conventional screenshot format, allowing you to select a rectangular area that can be cropped and stored in the gallery as a screenshot.

The “Oval” format, as its name suggests, allows you to capture an ellipse of the screen. The image is saved in PNG format, so the edges are transparent. You can use this tool to create stickers for WhatsApp, for example.

“Animation” lets you capture a specific part of the screen for up to 15 seconds and store it in GIF format. It is not possible to navigate while the tool is capturing the screen, so the feature is only useful for creating quick animations of videos in playback, for example. The recording quality can be selected between “High” and “Standard”.

Finally, the “Pin to Screen” function is an ideal addition to the system’s multitasking function. You can capture a specific part of the screen and let it “float” on the display to quickly share it with other applications. This tool is integrated with the other capture methods, so it is possible to fix any “print” of the Smart Selection.

Good Lock finally reached Europeian users as part of Samsung’s expansion strategy. Cell phones with the full version of One UI — that is, disregarding One UI Core — have access to a series of tools that allow you to “turbine” the Galaxy experience, such as resources for design improvements, audio, use of the S Pen and much more. more.
