Netflix users in Apple’s iOS ecosystem already have a app update of this completely renewed and redesigned streaming platform.

iOS is the first ecosystem reached by the renewed and redesigned Netflix app

With changes in the design of the main screen, new animations and other improvements, iOS launches this new interface, which is expected to lIt will be available in future updates to both Android and other ecosystems (iPadOS, SmartTV, AppleTV or platforms like Movistar+ that also offer their own access to Netflix…).

The most relevant changes with this update of the Netflix app for iOS are the following:

-Home section: The featured movie or series appears in the form of a card on the main screen, with an animation that is displayed if the user moves the device. The background color on the home screen adapts to the main colors of the cover of the featured series or movie

-New animations: They appear in different sections of the application, highlighting the optical response when accessing the user profile, a series or movie title or when moving between different categories.

-Gestures: To return to the home screen, simply slide your fingers down from the top of the screen. This is useful when you are watching a Netflix movie or series.

How to update the Netflix app to access the new design

To update the Netflix application on iOS you have to follow these steps from the iPhone:

-Enter the application from the App Store application store.

-Press over the user icon.

-To access to the update section.

-Swipe screen scroll down to check for new available updates.

-Select the “Update” option in the Netflix app when the latest version of the application is available.

The person in charge of this redesign, Janum Trivedi, a former senior software engineer at Netflix, has reported that they have been working on this new interface for a year with which they want to achieve “a more fluid, captivating and polished Netflix”
