A new rumor claims that a Nintendo Switch exclusive is going cross-platform, and when that happens, it will be added to the Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate catalogues.
The rumor comes from Twitter user Sn0w1n, who has a history of reporting rumors and leaks. In other words, it should be treated with caution, but if true, then RPG fans on Xbox Game Pass are about to play one of the great RPGs of 2021.
According to the new rumor, Shin Megami Tensei V will be cross-platform, with the novelty set to be presented at the Shin Megami Tensei 30th Anniversary event between May 5th and 6th. When the game will launch on other platforms has not been confirmed, but it will launch simultaneously on Xbox Game Pass.
For those who don’t know Shin Megami Tensei V, it is an RPG published by Sega and the developer Atlus, the latter is the studio behind Persona, the series for which it is also best known.
Released on November 11, 2021, the game has sold over a million copies as of April 2022, and upon release, it has garnered an 84 on Metacritic, making it a pretty decent critical and commercial success. The game is a Nintendo Switch exclusive and there’s no official word on this change, however it’s rumored to be coming to PlayStation and Xbox consoles. However, the only subscription service mentioned is Xbox Game Pass, with PlayStation Plus left out.
For now, we can only wait for confirmation.
