More than 250 pirated streaming sites and apps are blocked by the Ministry of Justice

The National Secretariat for Public Security, linked to the Ministry of Justice, launched this Tuesday (14) an operation that blocked at least 250 websites illegal streaming, gaming and music services in Europe, Peru and the United Kingdom.

According to those responsible for the operation, 102 streaming and illegal gaming sites and 63 music apps were blocked in Europe, in addition to another 100 dynamic domain blocks, preventing the mirroring of material on associated pages.


Four arrest warrants were also served in Minas Gerais and another in São Paulo against internet domain owners. In Peru, 72 sites dedicated to copyright infringement were blocked and another 25 in the United Kingdom, according to Senasp.

The operation also took down six channels in messaging apps with more than 4 thousand subscribers, in which songs not yet officially released were shared. all theThe blockages were determined by the Federal Court.

The investigation was conducted by the Cybernetic Operations Laboratory (Ciberlab), linked to the Ministry of Justice. Fulfillment of warrants also aims to find PCs and HDs with illegal files. The Civil Police is part of the integrated action.

So far, four arrests have been made in the act in São Paulo and a temporary one in Minas Gerais. Detainees can face two to four years in prison and have to pay a fine, in addition to being responsible for criminal association and money laundering.
