Apple has not yet finalized the details of the iPhone SE 4 screen: there is talk of OLED and LCD screens from 5.7 to 6.1 inches.

Apple is still undecided on the size and technology of the iPhone SE 4 screen, not forgetting that the SE line is the simplest and cheapest range of Iphone.

The company with the bitten apple is in its third generation of iPhone SE and there are already rumors about the iPhone SE 4.

Although some statements have already been made about the changes, it seems that the debate about its screen continues.

Apple has not yet defined the screen size of the 2024 iPhone SE 4, analyst Ross Young said in a post on Twitter.

Apple is considering several options when it comes to screen size and materials. The company will consider 6.1-inch OLED displays from two vendors and 5.7- to 6.1-inch LCD displays from two vendors.

Although they can produce a bright and vibrant screen, they would also increase the price of the component compared to the very mature technology of LCD screens.

In light of this information, it is still unclear whether Apple will use a 5.7-inch or 6.1-inch screen and whether this screen will use OLED or LCD technology.

An OLED screen would be more expensive, as the current iPhone SE model uses an LCD screen with a thick bezel and a Touch ID home button.

Apple’s main series of iPhones feature OLED panels, and all models starting with iPhone 12 use OLEDs.

OLED panels may have come down in price enough for Apple to use them for the low-priced iPhone SE, especially since it won’t be on the market for another two years.

Screen size has been the subject of debate for some time, with Young previously predicting a 5.7- to 6.1-inch LCD in 2021.

On October 9, Young fine-tuned the screen prediction to a 6.1-inch with cutout. Both the 5.7-inch and 6.1-inch screens have been the subject of rumors in the past, including from Young himself.

The fact that Apple has not yet made a final decision explains why there is still talk of two different panel sizes.

This would include a notch cutout, smaller bezels, no home button and no Touch ID button on the side.

Regardless of whether Apple opts for a 5.7-inch or 6.1-inch screen, Young assumes the iPhone SE 4 will have a full-screen design with a notch.

Whether Apple will have Face ID or a Touch ID key is something that is still open, and the rumors vary on this point, let’s hope that the company with the bitten apple will make notable improvements in its economic range equipment that its customers are waiting for so much.
