Juul Labs is filing a petition with the US authorities to allow the sale of a new generation of electronic cigarettes that will be equipped with a smoker’s age verification system.
According to information from CNN, to use this new vaping technology, the user will need to install a mobile application on their phone, upload an identity document, or provide their details for verification in a third-party database. Also, the electronic cigarette will have a Pod ID chip that will prevent the use of counterfeit cartridges.
It is important to note that this electronic cigarette was developed specifically for the US market and is not currently adapted for other regions.
