Rockstar Games has released its collection Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – Definitive Edition on Steam after more than a year with the title being available only on the developer’s own platform. In addition, the novelty arrived at a discount.
You can find classic Rockstar games on Valve’s digital store with 50% off discount, leaving for R$ 149.95 instead of the traditional R$ 299.90. The offer is valid until February 2nd and other games from the company are also on sale.
The compilation GTA: The Trilogy – Definitive Edition brings the remastered editions of some of the classic games in the franchise. GTA 3, GTA: Vice City and GTA: San Andreas feature improved visuals, updated models, improved lighting system and more.
The gameplay of the games also received improvements and updates to make the experience more accessible, such as marking points on the map and a new aim and shoot gameplay to offer an experience closer to GTA 5.
The developer had removed the three classic games from the Steam catalog in November 2021, when the GTA: The Trilogy collection was released on the Rockstar store. With the return to the platform, games are also Steam Deck enabled.
The expectation is that GTA: The Trilogy will also be available on the Epic Games Store still this January. The collection with the three classic titles is available for PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and PC.
It is worth remembering that the compilation GTA: The Trilogy had several issues in its primary release. Players complained and were disappointed with the amount of bugs and graphical defects in all three remastered titles.
The remastering process for the games was handled by Grove Street Games, which was heavily criticized at the time. Rockstar had to step in and release various updates for the games to fix major bugs and other issues.
