Google Play Store has made several changes both in the design and in the application tabs to add more information to users.

And along the same lines, it is now adding more information that will let users know if their devices are compatible with the app they want to install.

Google Play Store gives more information about app compatibility

As mentioned in 9to5Google, Google added more information to the app listing so that users know if the app they want to install on their device will be able to work properly. An option that you will find under » «Compatibility with active devices».

To see this new data we just have to open the application file and scroll to the »Info. of the app”. First, we will find the description that the developer has added about the characteristics of the application and then we will see “App data”.

And in a third section we will have “Compatibility with active devices”, which will show us the version number, the minimum requirements of the operating system and if it is compatible with our devices. It will not only include the device that we are using at that moment, but also all the devices linked to our Google account that have been active during the last 30 days, beyond the mobile.

This will prevent us from downloading an application that is not optimized for our device or from paying for an app that we will not be able to use correctly. Of course, use this compatibility data as a reference, since some modification you have made to the device or some custom layer from the manufacturer may influence the correct operation of the application.

Still, this Google Play Store update can save us a lot of time when we are trying out new apps or looking for recommendations.
