Snapchat is adding a new feature to create a group story.

Although it follows a similar dynamic to one of its known functions, it implements an easier and more practical process for you to create a story with your groups of friends.

Snapchat adds a new shared stories feature

The new “Shared Stories” feature has a similar dynamic to Custom Stories that allows you to invite friends to view and contribute content. The new proposal aims to be a bit simpler so you can contribute to a group story:

[…] With our new and improved Shared Stories, Snapchat users added to the group can also add their friends, making it easy for the whole soccer team, camp team, or group of new co-workers to have fun. .

To try this new feature, just go to your profile, click on “New story” and select on “Shared story”. And as with the rest of Snapchat’s features, a series of dynamics are implemented to protect the user.

For example, you’ll be notified if they’ve joined a shared story featuring a user you’ve blocked. That way, you could decide to remove your contribution and no longer participate in the story, or just ignore it. On the other hand, the Snapchat team mentions that different moderation dynamics are used such as review tools and automatic detection so that the content is appropriate. And one aspect that doesn’t change is that the Snaps that are sent to these stories will be deleted after 24 hours.

So if you want to share what you’re up to this weekend with your friends on Snapchat, you could opt to use this new “Shared Stories” feature and invite them to show how they’re spending these days off too.
