One of the surprises that occurred at the developer conference that Google held not long ago was the announcement of the arrival of the Pixel 7 and a new tablet of the American company. Not much was said about them, but some brushstrokes have already been dropped that point to very good manners.
Today some of the details that will have the photographic set of both models, which is one of the things that are eagerly awaited. This is because the Mountain View company is one of those that does not follow the way others work and goes its own way (an example is its restrained commitment to the number of sensors). And the truth is that the results that he has obtained to date with his smartphones are excellent. As simple as that.
This will be the camera of the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro
From the hand of a developer, called Kuba Wojciechowski, several of the features that these phones will have in what has to do with their camera have been known. This has been detected when reviewing the code of the Camera application (GS101 HAL), where this person has come across the data that he has published on Twitter and that shows where the shots will go in the photography of the new Pixel 7.
First of all – Pixel 7 (Pro) – C10/P10: Both devices use the same GN1 primary sensor and IMX381 UW as before. The front camera is now the same on both – Samsung’s 3J1 – a 11MP sensor with dual pixel, which should improve the quality and allow for semi-secure face authentication.

Thus, the main sensor will be a Samsung ISOCELL GN1 which has a resolution of 50 MP and, in addition, to maintain its slightly bizarre work when it comes to integrating this type of element, it will have one more for the wide angle. It will be a 12-megapixel Sony IMX381 and for Google nothing else is needed to get photos worthy of the high range – although the inclusion of a third-party helper for the zoom is not ruled out.
On the other hand, the camera for selfies will also be the same in all the models of the Pixel 7 range, and it will be a Samsung ISOCELL 3J1 11MP that will have such interesting details as autofocus and, also, Dual Pixel to work very effectively with the light in the environment.
What will be in the Pixel Tablet
The same developer has also found the configuration that this long-awaited tablet with Android operating system will have in the photography section. Two will be the gentlemen who will have the device, both a Sony IMX355, which has a resolution of eight megapixels. Therefore, we are talking about a lower quality solution… but completely valid for what may be needed in a product of this type.
Next device is the Pixel Tablet – T6:According to the code, it has two sensors, both of them IMX355 – the same 8MP sensor as the selfie cam on regular Pixel 6. It’s probably used as a good cost saving measure.

The reasons choosing this element on the tablet is that its dimensions fit perfectly with what is needed, while in the case of the Pixel 7 and Skin 7 Pro smartphones, Samsung wins the game because it generates much more consistent results in what it has to do with image processing.
