Battlefield 2042 Coming to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and EA Play Soon

DICE has confirmed that Battlefield 2042 will arrive with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and EA Play in the coming weeks.

The game will be available to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and EA Play subscribers with the launch of Season 3. The information was revealed in a video the studio posted on its Twitter profile.

Xbox players will be able to test the title at no additional cost between December 1st and December 4th, while Steam players will have the opportunity between December 1st and 5th. On PlayStation, testing will take place between December 16 and 23.

While EA has previously committed to releasing four seasons of content for Battlefield 2042 throughout the year, DICE said more content will be made available.

We are already in the pre-production phase of new content coming after Season 4 next year.”

Battlefield 2042 Season 3 will be called Escalation and will be revealed later this month. In response to the controversial expert system, DICE has revealed that it will introduce a class system in early 2023 with the 3.2 update.

The studio also revealed that it will bring new versions of existing maps in Season 3 and 4, such as Kaleidoscope, Renewal, Orbital, Manifest, and Breakaway.
