Avatar: The Water Way gets a stunning new trailer

Update (11/3/2022) – GS

On the last day 02, 20th Century Studios released a new trailer for Avatar: The Way of Water, sequel to the acclaimed film by James Cameron.

In the video, we can about the new adventures of Neytiri (Zoë Saldaña) and Jake (Sam Worthington), who alongside their children, explore more the mysteries of Planet Pandora. As seen in the first film, the planet emanates a strange energy that connects with all the living beings that populate it and the new film will further explore the origin of this energy.

It goes without saying that the scenes are gorgeous and should deliver a stunning 3D that only Cameron is capable of.

It looks like we’ll see the conflict between the Na’vi and human colonists again as exoskeletons appear on the scene again, but it looks like this is just the secondary conflict of the plot.

Avatar: The Way of Water arrives in Europeian cinemas on December 15th.

Update (05/09/2022) – GS

After being shown for a brief period in the sessions of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the first teaser of Avatar: The Path of Water, a new film in the franchise created by James Cameron (Titanic), has finally been released on the internet.

As the name implies, the new film will explore the oceans of Planet Pandora and just like the first feature, we have stunning landscapes and threatening and charming alien creatures.

In the video, we can see that Neytiri (Zoë Saldaña) is now pregnant, while Jake (Sam Worthington) continues as commander of the Na’vi tribe. As we can see, humans and aliens now seem to coexist in harmony, driving the planet’s technology and forming a new society, but it doesn’t take long before things get out of hand and a new war begins.

As in the first film, the highlight of Avatar: The Water Path will be the use of 3D technology, which promises to revolutionize cinema once again and explore the limits of this production.

Avatar: The Water Way is slated to hit theaters this December.

Avatar 2 gets official title and release date for the first trailer

Avatar remains the highest-grossing movie in history and even though it’s been more than a year since the first film was released, the saga created by James Cameron already has multiple sequels confirmed.

This week, during its panel at Cinema Con, Disney finally revealed the official title of the second film, as well as revealing when we’ll be able to see the first trailer.

Although the studio announced in 2019 that Avatar 2 would hit theaters in December 2021, due to the unforeseen generated by the coronavirus pandemic, this ended up not happening and now the premiere is scheduled for september 2022.

According to Disney, the second film in the saga will be called Avatar: The Way of Water (The Water Path, in free translation). At the panel at Cinema Con, the studio confirmed that the first trailer for the film will be shown during the sessions of Doctor Strange: In the Multiverse of Madness, which hits theaters next week.

We still don’t know if the trailer will be released on the internet, but it should happen next week, just like in Spider-Man: No Return Home, which showed first-hand a trailer for the new Doctor Strange movie.

Cameron confirmed that the story will take place a few years after the first film and that it will explore the oceans of the planet Pandora.

The cast includes Zoe Saldana, Sam Worthington, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Cliff Curtis, Joel David Moore, CCH Pounder, Edie Falco, Jemaine Clement, Giovanni Ribisi and Kate Winslet.

So, looking forward to the new Avatar? The first movie can be watched on Disney Plus.

Disney confirms new Star Wars and Avatar movie releases

In addition to future Marvel productions, Disney also confirmed – in its official calendar – new films from two successful big-screen franchises: “Star Wars” and “Avatar”. The dates go up to the year 2027.

Star Wars

In the first case, there are three features guaranteed in the future, not counting “The Rise of Skywalker” – conclusion of the current trilogy, scheduled for December 19 this year. Still without titles released, they should debut in the last month of the years 2022, 2024 and 2026.

As of press time, Disney has yet to confirm whether the upcoming “Star Wars” releases will form a trilogy. spin off or it will be a new sequence after the completion of the current one.

The franchise that boasts the highest-grossing movie title in history – while not being achieved by “Avengers: Endgame” – was inherited by Disney in the purchase of FOX. With a first feature in 2009, the second chapter – “Avatar 2” – was delayed from December 18, 2020 to December 17, 2021.

The story produced by James Cameron will still receive three other titles – also delayed by approximately a year each: “Avatar 3”, on December 22, 2023; “Avatar 4”, scheduled for December 29, 2025; and “Avatar 5”, scheduled for December 27, 2027.

The trend is that changes in franchise dates are to not coincide with Star Wars releases. Now that they are part of Disney’s portfolio, it would not be a satisfactory strategy to put both in the same month.
