Xiaomi 13 by the end of 2022 with super thin edges and Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 | Rumor

It comes back to talk after some time Xiaomi 13 smartphone that the Chinese manufacturer will launch on the market by the end of 2022. The very first rumors had emerged in June, and were centered on the potential use of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile platform that Qualcomm will announce in mid-November. The timing correspond, and it is by no means to be excluded that it is Xiaomi with its unprecedented top range that first brings the second generation SoC to the market.

Now it is Digital Chat Station to provide some more details: on Weibo the leaker – usually reliable – reports that Xiaomi 13 will feature extremely thin bezels and an improved display compared to the current generation – and here the reference is supposed to go to the Xiaomi 12 model, equipped with a 6.28 inch FHD + AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, maximum brightness of 1,100nit and Gorllla Glass Victus protection (same specifications that we also find on 12X).

XIAOMI 13: WHAT TO EXPECT

These are the expected features of the smartphone:

• curved LTPO AMOLED QHD + (Samsung E6) display
• very thin edges – this could be made possible by the adoption of the COP (Chip on Pi) process, a technology in which part of the screen is bent precisely to obtain the thinnest edges possible
• center hole for the camera

To these are added other rumors:

• 100W charging, 50W wireless
• Surge P1 chip for consumption management
• Snapdragon 8 Gen 2
• cameras developed in collaboration with Leica
• Android 13

We recall on the sidelines that Xiaomi 12, 12 Pro and 12X have been on sale in Italy since last March: the first two have recently received the first stable Global beta with Android 13. The latest 12 series smartphones to be presented are Xiaomi 12 Lite, 12S, 12S Pro and 12S Ultra.
