WhatsApp is going to implement the same dynamic as Telegram to inform users of new updates to the app.
Beyond the articles that they share on their websites, WhatsApp wants to have an official chat to share tricks and news with users.
WhatsApp will have its own chat to communicate with users
WhatsApp plans to change the way it announces what’s new in the app or shares tips with users. As can be seen in a screenshot shared by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is preparing an official chat to communicate with users. Yes, the same dynamic that Telegram uses.
Through this chat you will be informed of new features, tips on privacy and security, tips, tricks, among other content. So, when the WhatsApp team has something new to comment on or a tip to share, a message will be sent to all users. The chat will be read-only, so it doesn’t mean that users will be able to use it as a support center.
To do this, they will have to continue using the WhatsApp support indicated in the Help Center, depending on the type of concern that the user has. And of course, WhatsApp will continue to maintain the rest of the communication channels, such as its web platform or social networks to share new features that come with updates or any point of interest for users.
At the moment, this official WhatsApp chat is under development, so it will be several months until we see it in a future update of the app. Let’s remember that there are tons of features in development or in the early stages of testing. Although not all of them make it to the stable version of the app, they are tested in order to receive feedback and improve the user experience.
