The next Xiaomi beast with the surname 'Ultra' will come with Leica cameras and will be presented in Spain, according to 91mobiles

After not having received the Xiaomi 12s Ultra in Spain as the best Xiaomi smartphone in 2022, it seems that its successor will land globally. Or at least it seems so knowing that its presentation will take place in Barcelona next month within the framework of the MWC 2023 (Mobile World Congress).

This is how they advance it exclusively at 91mobiles, without specifying that it is literally a Xiaomi 13 Ultra or Xiaomi 13S Ultra, but that it will be a “premium Xiaomi smartphone with Leica cameras”. To this some leaks about its characteristics are added that make us have a greater context about the caliber of the bet that the Chinese brand will make with this device.

The best of Qualcomm, at the top of the screen and improving the Leica camera formula

According to the aforementioned 91mobiles report, and joining it to other previous leaks, the next Xiaomi flagship will shine again in the camera section. Or at least that’s how it seems on paper, highlighting a 1-inch main camera signed by Leica And that, although it is not expected with too many changes, it will integrate something new with respect to what the Xiaomi 12S Ultra brought.

We remember that Xiaomi’s collaboration with Leica has not only been represented in the aforementioned 12S Ultra, but we have also seen it in the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 and more recently in the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro. Therefore, the hypothetical Xiaomi 13 Ultra (or whatever Xiaomi wants to name it) will be the fifth exponent of the agreement between both manufacturers.

Another notable asset of this next smartphone would be its optical zoom capable of rivaling manufacturers such as Samsung or Huaweicompanies that stand out in these points with terminals such as the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra or the Huawei Mate 50 Pro. Of course, no specific and reliable information has yet been given about the specific specifications of this Xiaomi zoom.

What is circulating in reports such as that of 91mobiles is that this flagship will carry a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 as the main brain, this being Qualcomm’s latest and most powerful chip till the date. It is also expected to incorporate a panel with QHD+ resolutionalthough its dimensions remain to be known.

The big question is know your availability. As we already said, it seems that Barcelona will be the place chosen for the presentation, so it would be at least strange if its coming-out was here and the launch was reserved for China.

Regarding whether this event will also serve as the starting signal for the Arrival in Spain and other territories of the Xiaomi 13, everything indicates yes. And it is that by dates everything is stable, since in previous years around three months have passed since the high-end products were launched in China and until they arrived in Spain, which is more or less the same time that will pass since the presentation of these smartphones in Chinese territory and the celebration of MWC 2023 (February 27 to March 2).
