A HBO announced that The Last of Us series will have its 5th episode advanced to next Friday (10). The show’s schedule foresaw the airing of this part on Sunday (12), but the broadcaster decided to go ahead for strategic reasons.
As pointed out by the official profile of The Game Awards on Twitter, the reason for this change is to avoid competition with the 2023 Super Bowl, one of the biggest sports competitions in the world, which usually registers high ratings in the United States.

The schedule, meanwhile, has not changed. Therefore, it follows at 23 pm (from Brasilia). It is worth mentioning that the series has been registering high ratings for HBO. Including, the 3rd episode of the plot recorded the highest audience record so far.
Still about the 5th episode of the 1st season of The Last of Us, HBO released this Monday (6) the teaser of this part of the plot. The call shows that the protagonists are about to face a great moment with an intense confrontation.
Joel and Ellie are experiencing slightly different moments in the series and although several scenes are very close to what we saw in the original game, the general context is different and most of the takes must take place with several singularities.
So, as a reminder, the next episode of The Last of Us airs on February 10 at 11 pm and can be watched live on HBO channels or on the streaming platform. HBO Max.
