The iPhone 15 will debut a new chassis, is it a big change for Apple?

It has been speculated for some time that Apple has in mind to add changes in the internal structure of the iPhone. And, from what it seems, the generation that will be announced in this year 2023 could be the one chosen to take the step and that the chassis of these phones from a significant step forward.

According to the data that has been published, the Cupertino company is making the necessary movements to make the change to this new generation, so the iPhone 15 would release a structure that will have a new manufacturing material: titanium. In this way, the use of aluminum or stainless steel, as occurs in the different versions of the terminals that arrived in 2022, would be left behind to all be unified to obtain different benefits.

Among these would be terminal weight reduction in a significant way, something that would be very good for Apple smartphones now that they include more sensors in their main camera. On the other hand, it would increase the resistance of the devices against all kinds of inconveniences, such as goals (and, even, they would withstand twisting better, since this is one of the great benefits of titanium). Of course, it will be necessary to see if the use of this material has a especially negative impact on the price of the iPhone… something that, knowing the North American firm, would not be surprising.

Other improvements expected in the iPhone 15

In the same source of information that we have indicated before, it is indicated that the new Apple phones would have a increased amount of RAM important. But, in this case, only the Pro variants would benefit… something that, in truth, is not a surprise either. The point is that it would skip to 8GB, which means a couple of gigabytes more than what the company’s phones currently exist. And, if you add to this the advances of the Apple A17 Bionic processor, it can be assumed that good power will be offered.

Aside from the change of the charging port to USB Type-C by mandate of the European Union, it is also expected that the power and volume buttons are different. They would be solid state, so the mechanics (so hated by Steve Jobs) would be abandoned, so there would be a change in their operation because these elements would be tactile. It is true that the breakage rates of this latest technology are lower, but we will have to see how this fits in with the users.

One final little detail

This is none other than a rumor that is appearing and that is becoming more and more powerful: The iPhone 15 Pro could include a small periscope-type camera with the aim of improving everything that has to do with zoom. Of course, the main sensor would not change in this generation, remaining at 48 megapixels.
