TC Teach: how to hide a song from a playlist on Spotify

THE Spotify issued a statement this Wednesday (18) with a request for the European Commission take stronger action against apple and yours 30% fee. The apple even blocked NFT transfers from the Coinbase wallet because they did not enter the fee charged by the company.

This clash between the brands is not new, as the music streaming service has already accused the Cupertino giant of anti-competitive conduct for favoring its own music app. After all, he does not have to pay the same fee, treatment that was considered unfair by the company.

In this case, Spotify joins seven other companies in publishing the joint letter making the request. As for the others, they are: Deezer, Basecamp, Proton, Schibsted, News Media Europe, European Publishers Council and Francil Digitale. You can see an excerpt from the letter below:

For years, Apple has imposed unfair restrictions on our business. These restrictions impede our development and harm European consumers. These include linking the App Store to Apple’s proprietary payment system, with its excessive commissions for app developers; the creation of artificial obstacles that prevent our business from communicating freely with our customers; restrictions on developers’ access to their own users’ data; and whimsical changes to terms and conditions. Apple benefits from a monopoly position over its mobile ecosystem and extracts exorbitant rents from app developers who have no choice but to remain in the App Store to reach European consumers.

The Digital Markets Act was also defended by Spotify, which understands that it should be applied against Apple. According to the music streaming company, the talk in favor of security is misleading and only serves to protect its profits from the App Store.

So far, the apple has not yet commented on the case.
