Samsung has just presented the global launch of its new gaming monitor model, the Odyssey Neo G7, which has an impressive 43″ screen, being the company’s first flat Mini-LED monitor model to become part of the Odyssey family of monitors.

As Samsung has already been accustoming us through other models in the Odyssey family, the Odyssey Neo G7 is much more than a monitor, since it becomes a platform for games, since beyond allowing you to play through the connected consoles, it also allows you to mirror games to mobile devices, and even serve directly to play games transmitted from the cloud with integration with Samsung Gaming Hub.

More than a gaming monitor, it is a whole entertainment platform

And thanks to Samsung Smart Hub, users will have access to other entertainment possibilities, with applications from services such as Netflix, Prime Video or YouTube to watch favorite videos, series and movies, all on a large screen, and without the need to to be connected to other devices.

Among the specifications of this monitor, or rather entertainment platform, in addition to using Samsung’s Quantum Matrix technology, using Quantum Mini LED on its 43″ screen, it also points out that it has a matte panel to avoid distracting reflections, and focus on images at 4K resolution (3840 x 2160) with VESA Display HDR600 and HDR 10+ certification that is capable of projecting this device at a refresh rate of 144 Hz and a response time of 1 ms (MPRT).

To access the Internet and other devices wirelessly, it has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. To connect to other devices, the Odyssey Neo G7 has a DisplayPort and HDMI 2.1 port, and is even compatible with AMD FreeSync Premium Pro technology to offer a smooth, fast and fluid experience, even during intense session moments.

In addition, users are provided with a full range of customization, including the Flex Move Screen feature, which allows the screen size to be adjusted between 43 and 20 inches to match the preferred size depending on the game, and Samsung Game Bar, a tool that allows you to quickly view and change the most important settings without having to leave the game screen.

For Hoon Chung, Executive Vice President of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics:

We’re not just delivering a better gaming experience, we’re rebuilding smart new capabilities into our displays that give gamers an all-in-one place for technology and entertainment. Our innovations enable gamers around the world to stay engrossed in their games with visual performance that enhances intense emotional experiences.

Samsung says the new Odyssey Neo G7 monitor will hit stores globally starting in the first quarter of 2023, with release schedules varying by region.
