Samsung announced this Thursday (06) the launch of the smart gamer monitor Odyssey Ark in Europe. TechSmart was present at the Brasil Game Show (BGS) 2022, a conference that served as an exhibition stage for the new member of the “Odyssey” family along with the Smart TV Neo QLED Gaming TV QN90 and other South Korean products.
With a curved high-definition screen and promises to deliver immersion in games, the model serves as an even more advanced and versatile option than the Odyssey Neo G9, which arrived in Europe in May with a suggested price of R$13,999. Check the details below.

The Odyssey Ark is equipped with a 55-inch screen with 4K resolution and 1000R curvature, so gamers immerse themselves in games with the excellent fluidity of the panel, which delivers 165 Hz refresh rate. Thanks to Quantum Mini LED technology, the display offers a good contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1 and peak brightness at 600 nits.
Contrast is optimized by the panel’s 1,056 dimming zones. These features meet the specifications that guarantee support for HDR10+ content, which also means that the monitor is capable of rendering more than 1 billion colors. For gamers, the GtG response time of just 1 millisecond gives you an edge in online gaming.
In the same vein, the monitor has embedded technologies to improve the overall image quality, such as AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, which synchronizes the screen with the gamer setup’s graphics card to avoid frame drops and other rendering issues.
One of its most attractive features is the Cockpit mode, which allows you to customize the screen size and aspect ratio to display different content sources simultaneously. Adjustments can be made through the Ark Dial, a unique remote control that offers shortcuts to different actions in the operating system.
Odyssey Ark does not depend on a PC, as the Tizen operating system loads pre-installed apps for streaming platforms like Netflix and YouTube, as well as offering the Samsung Gaming Hub so gamers can access their favorite titles on NVIDIA GeForce NOW, Xbox Cloud Gaming and more.
The Odyssey Ark will be available for pre-order on Samsung’s official website with suggested price of BRL 20,424 between the 6th and 31st of October.
