A samsung may be preparing to launch a device called “DeXbook“. According to user information connor (@OreXda), it is a notebook that manages to integrate the brand’s desktop mode software functions with the ChromeOS system.

It is worth remembering that some rumors emerged about a device of the same name in 2020. However, at the time it was just a portable monitor with a 14.1-inch screen that was intended to use only the company’s resource in conjunction with the devices.

This time it seems that the footprint is a little different, as the DeXbook could be used independently thanks to the operating system provided by Google. But it is not yet clear how this type of device would work in a practical way.

Another important point is that this laptop may arrive equipped with a chip from Samsung’s Exynos platform. According to the sources, it is expected to be a processor made using a 5 or 7 nanometer process. In this sense, it is not known whether it would be a new component or whether one of the existing models would be used.

If this rumor is confirmed, it may be part of Samsung’s idea to make wider use of its line of processors. However, it is still too early to say anything definitive about the launch of this item. Finally, check out the details of the confirmed DeX mode for the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and the news that arrived for the feature with One UI 5.1.
