Phantom Vision V: TECNO presents tablet concept with folding and sliding screen

TECNO has just presented its concept of a foldable tablet that looks a lot like the Galaxy Z Fold 4, but has an essential difference: its screen is also expandable. This is possible thanks to a rollable mechanism, which rolls up part of the screen while it is not in use.

The total screen size of the TECNO Phantom Vision V can reach 10.1 inches, making it a much larger tablet than Samsung’s, which reaches a maximum of 7.6″.

In addition, TECNO claims that the Phantom Vision V has 11 layers on the internal screen, making it even more resistant to folds and scratches, as well as its entire structure made of aerospace titanium, unfortunately the manufacturer does not mention any protection certification.

Other points that differentiate it from other foldables are the two additional screens, one of them on the front of the device so that it can be used as a regular cell phone and the other on the back just below the camera module, which is similar to that of the TECNO Phantom X2 Pro with retractable sensor. This display is used to display notifications, battery information and much more.

Unfortunately, TECNO did not say if this device concept will ever be released, but it is interesting to note that the technology of rollable and folding screens is viable and is becoming more and more promising.
