After the official launch of the Oppo Find N 5G at the end of last year, it seems that the Chinese company is preparing to update its line of folding phones again around the same time. pointing this year to the presentation of two new devices.

This has been shared by the well-known Chinese leaker Digital Chat Station through Weibo, who assures that Oppo will bring not only a successor to the current smartphone, but also will also present a new folding phone with a clamshell design, similar to the Galaxy Z Flip 3, currently in development under the codename “Dragonfly”. While the general details of the phone remain unknown, this leak ensures that we will see a new hinge structure, as well as a screen. with a screen refresh rate of 120 Hz.

Although changes to its hinge are expected to be minimal, as the patented Flexion system that arrived with the original model, surprised with the resolution of some of the biggest weak points in folding devices, widening the angle of the crease in the screen and offering cushioning when the screen is closed to result in a minimal crease, up to 80 % less noticeable compared to other devices. Something that makes us think that Oppo could be trying to prioritize reducing the overall thickness of the device.

Oppo Find N2 leak

As for the first model, we will once again have a folding book format design, opting for the name Oppo Find N2, and some simple improvements such as upgrading your screen to a refresh rate of 120Hzand a slightly more compact design compared to the original model.

That said, given that its predecessor already had a Snapdragon 888 processor inside, it would not be surprising if the new model repeats with the company’s latest chipsets, opting for the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1already planned for other folding phones.

However, it remains to be seen if Oppo will present any other differential feature in its terminals, since it seems that BBK Electronics, the parent company of this company, will take advantage of these technological advances to develop OnePlus’s first folding phone. A terminal that, although at the moment it does not have any time frame for its launch, will come under a great similarity with the Oppo Find N from last year.
