Facebook has launched new functionalities so that users can more precisely control the content that the social network shows them when they access it: updates from friends, from the Groups in which they are registered, from the Company Pages that they follow…

Facebook allows the user to indicate «See more» or «See less» of each type of content

The company follows the designs of an algorithm that considers hundreds of variables to display the content that may be of most interest to each user.

In addition, users have different tools to personalize the content that is shown to them -for example, they can indicate that a type of content is no longer shown to them- but now Facebook incorporates more functionalities so that the experience can be personalized in a greater way for each user. Username.

What everyone sees in their Feed is a personalized selection of content for them, taking into account the learning of algorithms through machine learning techniques. But from now on, users will also be able to select “See more” or “See less”, options that will be shown in each content of the people and communities with which the user is connected and that Facebook shows him.

Selecting “See More” will increase the ranking for that post and content like it. If “See less” is selected, the ranking will decrease with respect to the algorithm of that type of content.

By incorporating new ways to offer direct feedback, algorithms will be better able to learn what type of content each user wants to see.

To access those “See more” and “See less” options, you just have to click on the three points that are shown in the upper right corner of each publication, even in Facebook Reels, where the option is also shown.
