  • Chile;
  • Colombia;
  • Guatemala;
  • Costa do Marfim;
  • Kenya;
  • Nigeria;
  • Tanzania;
  • Uganda.

Nearly 40 million people will be able to access a high-speed connection through Microsoft’s program. Now, with the new beneficiaries, the company’s idea is to fulfill its commitment to benefit 250 million people who live in deprived areas around the world, including 100 million who live in Africa.

In Europe, the company’s partnership will be with brisanet and the purpose of this novelty will help the operator to expand internet access to the Northeast, in addition to collaborating for social and economic development in low-income regions. In this way, 135 populations with less than 30,000 inhabitants will receive benefits.

In relation to other countries, Microsoft will partner with Anditel (Colombia), Digital Country Foundation (Chile) and Wayfree (Guatemala) in Latin America. Now, on the Crossing of the African continent, the expansion of the partnership with Mawingu will benefit Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.

As for Nigeria, the partnership has already covered 900,000 people and promises to reach almost 5 million with the expansion to Côte d’Ivoire.
