-Disable automatic downloads: WhatsApp’s default settings mean that all files sent to you are automatically downloaded to your phone. By deactivating this option, only those files that you decide to download will be stored in the memory of your mobile.
If you want to deactivate this function, enter the app settings folder and click on the “Storage and data” option. Next, access the “Automatic download” section and change the three options that appear so that “No file” is marked.
-Disable uploading videos in backups: When the app makes backup copies of the chats, and unless you indicate otherwise, it also makes a copy of the videos sent and received. This takes up a lot of space, so it is preferable to disable it if you want to save memory.
To do this, you must also enter the settings section and then click on the “Chat” option. Next, go to “Backup” and disable the “Include videos” tab.
