Because there are all kinds of web pages, surely on some occasion you have had the need to take a note or highlight a section of a web. But, to achieve this, the browser you use has not helped you at all, and you have had to resort to using a third-party application (usually a notepad application). Well, this is going to change shortly in Google’s Chrome browser. We tell you the reason. Thanks to a Reddit user who uses the Chrome Canary test version, it has been seen that Google has already begun to take the necessary steps to implement the option of being able to take notes on the web pages that are visited. This is something that was said to happen in the browser in March, where Chromium Gerrit agreed that the tool would be available to all users before the end of 2022. And, it seems, time is running out . How the notes will be taken in Google Chrome Well, the simplicity is quite great, as has been indicated. Once text is selected in the usual way, right-clicking brings up a drop-down menu with a new option called Add Note. When you choose it, the new function is executed and a toolbox appears on the right side of the screen. In it, you can see the highlighted text and there is the possibility of adding your own to identify what catches your attention. In addition, in this place you can review all the notes that have been previously saved on the website in question (it remains to be seen how the storage of this information works and if the privacy is adequate). In other words, its operation is similar to that already offered in Google tools, such as Documents or Spreadsheets. Therefore, what has been done is to implement this function in Chrome. And, this is an excellent idea because the operation of the notes in these options is excellent. Arrival of this new function At the moment there is no fixed date, and we must not forget that the new Chrome function is only available in the least stable version of the browser to be tested. If everything goes well, and this is what it seems due to the fact that when testing it everything has gone perfectly -in stability and integration-, the normal thing is that in just a month or two everyone will be able to enjoy this addition in the Google browser. Of course, it will be necessary to see if this does not make the consumption of resources very high, which could be a handicap for many users. >
