With the arrival of Framework Laptop 16, its new family of modular laptops focused on the world of games, its current family of modular laptops is renamed Framework Laptop 13, also arriving in the 2023 edition, which for the first time also supports that Users can choose configurations with AMD Ryzen processors.

This new edition also addresses those aspects that have been criticized by users over time, giving rise to a stronger and more solid hinge, a higher capacity battery, more powerful speakers, a matte screen, and more. .
In this sense, new users will now have a greater variety of choice when ordering their equipment, while current Framework Laptop 13 users who wish to update their equipment will suffice to order specific components and kits depending on what they want to put up to date.
In this regard, those who want to switch to AMD, in addition to acquiring the new motherboards with Ryzen 5 or Ryzen 7 processors, will also have to buy new DDR5 RAM and a new AMD-compatible WiFi card.
Pre-orders begin
Framework is launching the new 13th Gen Intel Core processor and AMD Ryzen 7040 Series processor motherboards along with Intel and AMD fully assembled models for pre-order, with shipments expected to begin as early as May. unless AMD processors are chosen, which will arrive throughout the third quarter of this year.
Those who opt for fully assembled equipment or upgrade kits will still need to provide a $100 deposit at the time of ordering. For this summer, the company will extend shipments to Spain, Belgium, Italy and Taiwan.
