According to EA, FIFA 23 has already surpassed the total sales of its predecessor in just six months, but as we know, the developer is already preparing for the launch of a new title in the franchise, which this time will drop the FIFA name and will to be called EA Sports FC.
Even though FIFA 23 still has high sales, EA announced this week the launch date of the game on Game Pass and EA Play platforms, something that was expected by many players.
The latest installment in EA’s football franchise will be available on the Play List next Tuesday, May 16th. This also means it will be available to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers, as access to EA Play is one of the benefits included with the subscription.
The Play List is EA’s archive of legacy titles, playable by anyone with an EA Play (Xbox, PlayStation, or PC) or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription.
FIFA 23 will hit EA Play about a month faster than FIFA 22. FIFA 21 will also leave the Play List on May 31st.
FIFA 23 was released in September 2022 and saw a record launch for the franchise in terms of number of players in the first week, according to EA.
