Facebook Gaming is adding a new option for streamers to promote their live game play.

The idea is that they can take clips from their gameplay streams and turn them into Reels to share with their audience using the new “Clips to Reels” feature.

How to Create Reels with Live Game Streams

The new Clips to Reels feature will allow creators to share short clips from their live streams as Reels. Yes, Facebook is still pushing Reels, and this time, as a new option for streamers who want to grow their audience.

The new Clips to Reels feature will allow creators to format and share clip highlights and VODs from their Creator Studio clip library with a streamlined process.

As seen in the image, the Reels will have the dual view to show both the game play and the streamer’s camera. A 60 second video that will show the best of the game or the most exciting part of the broadcast.

To perform this edit, creators simply go to the desktop version of Creator Studio and select the section from the left panel. “File management”. Once in that section, you just need to look for the “Clips” category and select “Create Reels” to cut the sections of the video that you want to include in this format.

The editor will offer you different tools so that you can customize some details of the Reels and the way you want to present the video. Before publishing it, they will have a preview of the Reel, as well as the possibility to add the transcript or add hashtags.

And of course, you will also be able to configure some permissions and privacy options before sharing it with the audience. And if the streamer wants to add more elements to it like music or stickers, they can download it to edit it on their computer, and then upload it again to Facebook.
