Facebook is adding a new attraction for Messenger video calls. Beyond the features we already know, it will now allow users to opt into the “play together” feature.

This will give you access to one of the 14 multiplayer games that Messenger offers to play with your friends directly from the video calls. We tell you what it is about.

14 games to play with your friends during Messenger video calls

Multiplayer games directly from video calls is the latest addition to Facebook Messenger. So if you are bored on a rainy afternoon, you can not only hang out with your friends during a video call, but also challenge them with a game.

So far, Facebook Messenger has 14 titles available, such as Mini Golf FRVR, Words With Friends, Exploding Kittens, Card Wars, among others. Each of the games is optimized to be played within the Messenger environment, so the user experience should be optimal.

One detail to keep in mind is that most games only have the option of playing between two users. So if you want to play with your group of friends, you will first have to check the number of players that each game supports, as well as the rest of the requirements.

To choose any of the titles during the video call, you have to select the “Play together” option so that Messenger shows you all the available options. Once you choose a game, all that remains is to click on the “Start game” option.

This new dynamic, to play with others during a video call, is available both in the web version of Messenger and in the app for iOS and Android. The titles added so far may not interest you, but the Facebook team promises that they will add more games in the future.
