DAZN will distribute NFL Game Pass International; agreement is valid for 10 years

Streaming DAZN struck a deal to distribute NFL Game Pass International globally on Tuesday. With this, the platform will be the exclusive place to access live coverage of all non-US league matches from the 2023/2024 season.

Streaming already distributes Game Pass in Canada, but the new agreement will run for ten years and will allow access to the NFL service independently or as an add-on to a DAZN subscription on all devices. The idea is to project the platform’s brand beyond the streaming world, attracting more users to the ecosystem.

The deal also promises to allow the NFL to benefit from DAZN’s technology and global reach, giving the global fan audience more options to follow football events.

“Growing the NFL globally is a key strategic priority for the league and our 32 clubs. We are excited to partner with DAZN to help us accelerate this effort,” said NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.

DAZN still owns the rights to broadcast the NFL in Germany, Italy and Japan. The expectation is that integrations like the one in this agreement will become increasingly common.
