Among the many successful releases made by Netflix in 2022, the series Dahmer: An American Cannibal, which tells the story of serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer, has certainly become one of the most acclaimed.
The success was such that the streaming giant announced this week that it has struck a new deal with Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan to create more of the series’ seasons, but expanding the franchise’s universe.
Although Jeffrey Dahmer’s story ended with just one season, Netflix doesn’t want to give up the show’s impact and announced this week that it intends to expand the Monster franchise through the story of other macabre true stories.
Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan will team up again to tell the story of “other monstrous figures who have had an impact on society”. While Netflix has yet to reveal who the series’ next leads will be, we can certainly expect something on the Dahmer level.
In addition to the renewal of Monster, the platform also confirmed the renewal of Welcome to the Neighborhood for a second season.
Following the record-breaking success of DAHMER – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, Ryan Murphy & Ian Brennan will create two more installments that will focus on other monster figures who have impacted society.

Unfortunately, the new seasons didn’t get a premiere date, but it’s good to see that the platform is listening to fans and renewing successful productions.
