Microsoft Edge is receiving a lot of news and now a Microsoft documentation has indicated another function that should be launched in the browser: support for gestures with the mouse pointer. This should come as a nice surprise, as the makers of Windows have been reluctant to adopt this feature in recent years.

The Microsoft Edge feature documentation mentions that support for mouse navigation gestures is expected to be added in browser version 112. The most recent stable version is 110, but the news is also not available in the Dev and Canary versions of Microsoft Edge.

The function description says:

This feature provides an easy way for users to complete tasks like scroll forward or backward, open new tab, refresh page, etc. They can complete a task by pressing and holding the right mouse button to draw certain patterns on a webpage, instead of clicking buttons or using keyboard shortcuts.

It is worth mentioning that Microsoft Edge is not the first browser to use these functions, as Opera and Vivaldi already have this capability for a long time.
