Apple wants to launch new functions in Maps allowing you to order delivery, book hotels and more

Information suggests that Apple intends to renew its navigation application by introducing new features to make the user experience more complete. Apparently, the developer should release functions in the application allowing you to order food for delivery, make reservations at hotels or restaurants and check the schedule of nearby cinemas.

These functionalities should only be made available at participating establishments, bringing together in a single iOS or iPadOS application the services most sought after by consumers. This Wednesday (11), Apple launched the Business Connect tool for companies to customize the way their information appears in Apple applications

According to the developer, businessmen can use this new service to change the position of the establishment on Maps, add photographs of the location, create special promotions for customers and a button to make reservations. These novelties were launched in the United States and there is still no forecast for arrival in other countries.

“We created Business Connect to provide Apple users around the world with the most accurate information about where to eat, shop, travel and more,” said Eddy Cue, senior vice president of Services at Apple.

Eligible business owners can use their Apple ID to register on the Business Connect platform (click here) using a laptop or computer.

“Apple designed Business Connect with small businesses in mind, giving them the same access and ability to customize their digital presence as global brands. Business Connect complements other Apple services designed to help small businesses grow and reach customers”, points out the company.
