Apple Lowers iPhone 13 Price, Raises iPhone XR Price in US Trade-in Program

Apple has made a series of changes to the value table of its US trade-in program, which converts old used models into credit for the purchase of a new phone. As announced this Wednesday (09), big tech is paying less for several devices of the latest linesincluding the iPhone 13 and iPhone 12.

Contrary to the devaluation of cell phones that preceded the iPhone 14, curiously, some models started to be worth more in the table. The readjustments vary between US$ 10 and US$ 70 (about R$ 51 and R$ 361, respectively). Check the table below:

The iPhone 13 Mini, iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone SE 2nd generation, iPhone X, iPhone 8 and iPhone 7 did not have any changes to their credit, but two models became more valuable. The iPhone XS went from $150 to $160, while the iPhone XR went from $140 to $150.

The mentioned values represent the maximum credit Apple provides for the purchase of a new iPhone and vary according to the state of conservation of the old model. Unfortunately, the service is not yet available in Europe.

Exchange programs are a way that manufacturers have found to encourage the purchase of new products by consumers while making used devices available in their refurbished form, always at more affordable prices.
