This is the new DJI Mini 2 SE, an ultraportable and compact drone that fits in the palm of your hand, weighing less than 249 grams, becoming the most affordable of the Mini series.

Its characteristics are worth it to be exempt from drone regulations in different parts of the world, as well as being valid for both beginners and experienced users, according to the company.

Improvements in flight capabilities, HD video transmissions and more

While it has been chosen to maintain the quality of the photo and video captures compared to the Mini SE of the previous generation, having a camera with a 1/2.3″ CMOS sensor and 3-axis mechanical stabilization to carry out captures. photos at 12MP and videos at 2.7K in a stable way, this model differs from the Mini SE basically in the fact that it has improvements both in flight performance and in video transmissions, as well as in intelligent functions .

DJI says that the new Mini 2 SE has a maximum coverage for HD video transmission of up to 10 kilometers with excellent anti-interference capabilities thanks to DJI O2 transmission technology, with a maximum flight time of 31 minutes, and counting with level 5 wind resistance, aiming at 10.7m/s wind speed, the drone can still stay in the air steadily and keep pictures stable.

It also features intuitive controls for one-touch takeoff and landing, stable hovering, return-to-home function. And of the intelligent functions, QuickShots and Panorama stand out especially as functions focused on carrying out more creative shots.

Release date and prices

The company will offer this model to the market starting March 22 of this year at a price of $369, although those interested can opt for the Mini 2 SE Fly More Combo kit, which includes additional batteries, propellers, and other accessories.

The question is to know if those who have the previous model may be worth it to switch to the new model or continue with the one they already have, since the quality of the catches is maintained, being the integrated improvements what can tip the balance towards one side or the other.

We do not know if when this new model hits the market there will be commercial changes to the previous generation model. In any case, the wait will be minimal to leave doubts.
