Attackers could attack the Chrome web browser with malicious code.

Google’s Chrome has been released in a version secured against possible attacks.

The current edition 103.0.5060.134 has been released for Linux, macOS and Windows. In a warning message, the developers state that they have closed a total of eleven security gaps. Of these, several are with the threat level “high“ classified.

As usual, the error descriptions are brief, so that potential attackers do not get too many details and users can update the browser. Most of the descriptions read in such a way that attackers could provoke memory errors (use after free) by successfully exploiting them.

Such a condition usually leads to crashes. However, malicious code can often also get onto systems. The Guest View and PDF components, for example, are susceptible to this.
