The Nothing Phone (2) has already received BIS certification indicating that its launch is close and now Carl Pei’s company has confirmed when the second generation of this smartphone will be announced. In addition, an image of a detail of the Nothing Phone (2) was also revealed.

The company says that the Nothing Phone (2) will be announced in the Northern Hemisphere summer, which starts between June 20th and 21st and runs until September 23rd. It was also detailed that it will be released first in the United States.

As we can see below, the image published by Nothing on its official website only shows a detail of the smartphone, but we can see that it shows a slider switch and a red LED.

It is speculated that the LED is an indicator that the camera is active on the cell phone, which has also been seen on the back of the Nothing Phone (1), but in the form of a red dot.

Other details speculated for the Nothing Phone (2) still include a 120Hz AMOLED screen, Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 processor, up to 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, 5,000mAh battery and custom LEDs on the back.

Coming soon? Nothing Phone (2) is certified by the Indian agency BIS

The Nothing Phone (2) had its first conceptual images released last week revealing the possible design of the smartphone branded by Carl Pei. Apparently, the next-generation model should maintain the rear look with RGB LEDs and highlight the triple configuration of cameras arranged in a similar way to the iPhones Pro and Pro Max.

According to informants, the cell phone may be equipped with a Qualcomm platform and a 6.8-inch QHD AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a battery with a capacity of 5,000 mAh. The manufacturer has not confirmed the rumors, however, there are indications that the company has started the approval period pointing to the possibility of an upcoming launch.

According to information, Nothing Phone (2) was certified in the first stage of the entity Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), from India, with model number AIN065. The document does not reveal details about specifications, availability and prices, so it remains to wait for official information from the brand or new rumors.

The latest version was announced globally by Nothing, so it is expected that the successor will also be approved by agencies in other countries, such as the FCC, in the United States. Homologation, however, does not guarantee the launch, but it is a strong indicator that the brand is working to make the device in question official.
