The company Xiaomi It has already made it clear through an official image that the firm’s new smartband will arrive next week, which aims to remain one of the best on the market. To achieve this, important improvements are expected in practically all the sections that are essential and, one of them, will be the one that allows recognize different sports activities.
To date, the wearable accessory from the Asian firm offered a wide capacity in this section, thanks to the inclusion of different sensors such as the gyroscope or an accelerometer. But, for the moment, there was one type of activity that was always left out of the equation: those that include hitting actions, such as martial arts and boxing itself. And this is what is going to change with the arrival of the Xiaomi Smart Band 8 as has been known.

The information that has been released indicates that the company has achieved set the necessary parameters in the algorithms of recognition so that it is possible to achieve what we have mentioned before. This means that you do not need to include additional hardware to achieve this. Basically, what will be included is the ability to recognize mechanical stimuli depending on the location in which they occur, and even taking into account their origin and nature. This is known as the somatosensory system and, the truth is that it is a surprising advance, but at the same time the most striking (and a clear example of the work that Xiaomi is constantly evolving with its product in general and with this range of bracelets in particular.
Other changes that are safe in the Smart Band 8
As it has been possible to see in the image that the company itself has published, the system of hooking of the bracelets will be completely different, since the central element will no longer be integrated into these. In other words, they will appear more like those of a smart watch than those of the smartband. This also has a consequence: backward compatibility is completely lost.
Besides, everything indicates that the screen, which will maintain the AMOLED panel, aims to be of 1.7 inches, so it increases its dimensions… which will allow you to see more information. This will increase its size, which is not problematic and is positive, since the integrated battery can be of higher amperage so that the two weeks of use can be maintained, as has been the case for a long time with this range of Xiaomi products.
